Default Ride Quality - Dumb Question

The ride quality on my '08 S Cab with 62,000 km (38,000 miles) seems particularly harsh this year. Maybe the roads are in worse shape. Maybe I'm getting old (the most likely answer). I had been driving a soft car all winter which doesn't help. The tires (MPSS) were replaced before storage last fall and are properly inflated. I had an alignment done last year, as well. Would it be normal to need new shocks at this point? The car doesn't seem bouncy at all - just rock hard and jarring over rough city streets. Thanks in advance.

I think you have answered your own question. Maybe all those things. Shocks are pretty long lived. Check to see you're not in sport mode. That will do it for sure.

what is your tire pressure? if a tad too over-inflated there is a noticeable difference in ride harshness imo.
