Good feedback but I'm not concerned about Porsche's approval. I use DT-40. Lots of different oils and lots of good oils to choose from.

Also when I take my other P-cars to the dealer they get Pennzoil 5w-40 synthetic. Not sure why the dealership doesn't use Mobile 1 or 0w-40 and I don't care.

specification. This means that it is not necessary to flush the engine when the oil is changed if another

It's actually very simple. Check the back of the bottle, whatever oil it is. If it doesn't say it meets the "Porsche A40" spec, it's not Porsche approved. Period. You can bet the manufacturer will not "forget" to put the Porsche approved spec if the oil is truly Porsche approved.

Again, the Mobil 1 5w-40 you get in US do not have that approval.

I recently (easily) replaced the oil sender unit because it was reading erratic when the engine was running and above 0 when the engine was not running.

For the record, it's not 5 psi. An actual oil pressure of 5 psi would be catastrophic in seconds.

It's actually 5 ATM, bar or atmospheres. Where 1 ATM = 14.8 psi.

And BTW, your oil pressure is fantastic.

Most of the time... Unless there's an unnatural restriction in an oil passage - that's very bad news...
