Default Seat exchange - what happens to air bag system?

My 997.1 has full power, heated seats, side air bags, etc (not sure what they are named), all the bells and whistles. However, I would like to put more aggressive race seats similar to Recaro Pole Position for occasional DE events. My car already has 4 point roll bar in back and would like full 5/6 point harness to hold me in place during track events so can better concentrate on driving.

This brings up a few questions. 1) when I pull seats, it will trigger air bag system dash light and supposedly disable the entire system, thus not good for street use - is this correct? 2) can someone enable the rest of air bag system excluding seats? 3) do normal GT2 or GT3 seats have side air bags such that simple plug/play without ruining the air bag system?

The answer to 3) is yes, and IMHO that's the way to go

1. Light will pop up yes.
2. Use durametric and you can disable the light! or take to a independent porsche shop who will not charge you a ton of money to clear it !

I don't think it is just a light issue. My interpretation of manual is that it totally disables the entire air bag system. My Porsche dealer said that is correct. Thus, the reason for the questions, can anyone else confirm or know how to enable the remaining parts of air bag system going forward?
