Bridgestones S04s. Nice

All the reviews I've read have said essentially the same thing. Ultimately the price difference outweighs any measurable performance loss.
I haven't compared directly, but ran S04s on my S6 track car and was very happy with their performance at the limit, on a much heavier car. I'm excited to try them out on the 997 in about a month at NHMS!

+1 for the Bridgestone S-04s. After a few thousand miles, I could tell no difference between the MPSS and the S-04s. I regularly auto-x. Maybe not a top tier street tire for really competitive auto-xers but it grips well enough and the limit is predictable and manageable if you want to induce a little oversteer and kick the back end out for some fun.

Has anyone else noticed the initial flat spotting/vibration until some heat gets into the S04? Other than that (which I also experienced with RE050PP and RE760, but not with Continental SC3 or Michelin PS2) I was perfectly happy with the S04s.

Yep. I noticed this. But I will say after 500 miles from new it is almost completely gone. The flat spot does seem to disappear after some heat.

Been very happy with the S-04s for the past 10k miles are so. I even neglected to change them out this winter and they seem to have held up fine.
I guess the bargain tire secret is out.

I kind of thought MPSS > MPS2 > S04. Is this not correct in the 997? So much buzz about the MPSS, I was planning on doing that after the MPS2, but maybe I need to re-think this?

I just installed my S04s a month ago. I've only had the car a year but I can attest to noise improvement over 2 sets of all season tires I had. Sotozero and Alpin. My question is, do I need to get the car aligned? I missed an appointment but the alignment seems good. Just wondering what everyone else does with 4 new tires. I think the alignment is about $260.

How dies it feel? Does it drift in the lane, not center well, feel differently turning right vs left, etc. If so get it checked. Cost me $230 at dealer.
