It's the price you pay to share the planet with self-absorbed idiots.

The BMW guy should have used the left two spots so no one could have blocked his door. Or like the Mclaren guy maybe he didnt want anyone to ding the bmw

You could always go with something like this:

Rogue parkers cannot be allowed to continue. We need to make the rest of society understand that the crime of parking badly eclipses those other petty ills in our society (public drunkenness, drug use, bigamy, adultery) and a message must be sent to bad parkers that their crimes will no longer be tolerated.
Once we have eliminated the bad parkers, we should go after the remaining scum - overdue library book returers, people who use too much toilet paper, and those pieces of human filth who go through the ten items lane with eleven items.
Welp, I'm off to the Wal-Mart parking lot so I can tase people who leave their empty cart in an adjoining parking stall instead of taking them to the cart return area. Since California refuses to classify this offense as a felony, I have to administer my own brand of street justice to these shopping cart thugs who think they can just ignore those white lines and get away with it. Damn cart offenders.

Yes, what an *******. He parked no more than 4 feet from that car. It's an outrage.
Jesus. Everything people think about us is turning out to be true.

I'm sure the OP was not that enraged over this one occurance - it's the cumulative affect and bewildement of experiencing thoughtless and / or insidious or inexplicable jerks that brings on that sort of frustration. Did the OP do the right thing? - absolutely - he let it go and moved on - and then ranted about it later to blow off steam and dismay. I get where he's coming from completely - obviously.
It's a "two wrongs don't make a right" story and we all know that - we should. But that doens't mean things like this aren't really aggravating and really make you wonder - WTF is wrong with people!
Correct me if I am wrong, but I think, in TEXAS, if they guy had dinged his door, then it's legal to shoot him dead on the spot. We're working on the same sort of law in Georgia.

Almost. It was started by someone who was upset that someone parked nearish (their TIRE was across the LINE. ACROSS THE LINE!) their car and was wondering what retaliatory action would have been appropriate. Enormous psychological damage was done by the rogue parker, and justice must be meted out.

This is a surprisingly good thread! I really enjoyed a couple of the posts.. Anyway, I take care where I park my p-cars and I try not to get upset about parking. I've been driving 911s as daily drivers since 1999 and put 100k on my first one (bought at 53k and sold at 156k), and I have almost 60k on my current one (bought at 12k, now at 71k). So that's over 160k miles. I take it to the grocery store, home depot/lowes, ball park for kids sports, airport, hockey travel, etc. I drive it any chance I get and park carefully, without obsessing. Anyway, I suppose I'm lucky as I have zero dings, zero incidents, zero ***-hat situations. Any scratches or dings have been self-inflicted (dropping a wrench, moving a hockey net in a tight space carelessly), or at some stupid shop where they put the key ring on the roof (Arrrgh!!), or something like that. But I have to say, I have had very good luck with the general public and that makes me feel like the world might not be so bad after all.
