Default Oil Change Question

I ordered my oil change supplies but the crush washer for the drain plug did not come in. I have to get the change done today. Does anyone know if there is a generic equivalent for the gasket/washer? I would rather not re-use the old one or use one that is incorrect. In other words, when I go to AutoZone to buy the oil, can I just get one of their universal washer kits and pick out the one that fits?

Napa was able to provide a correct crush washer for my 09. You might want to take old one with you for sizing correctly.

I believe it's 22mm x 24mm x 1mm, but don't quote me on that

It's 18 x 24 x 1.5 aluminum. Sounds like others have had luck with regular auto parts stores having it available. I didn't know if there was some generic designation for the thing. It is a lot easier to tell the guy at the counter that I need a "standard issue T-14" as opposed to a Porsche part number 900.123.106.30

Or reuse your washer........run it on some sandpaper to take off the lip, hold it over a candle till its has some black soot over most of it, then take a small torch and heat it till all the soot burns off and you have annealed/ softened it so it will crush seal again
