Personally speaking,I think it's little bit uncomfortable to wear headphone, especially after long time wearing.Car stereo suits me much more, here is one car FM transmitter I would highly recommend to you.Super easy to modernize used car, tiny and compact car kit.By plug it into cigarette lighter, keep frequency the same with car fm station, once paring with your smartphone, okay to use. That's it.Cost under $22,STREAM music that easy.Wireless connect with bluetooth device

Fast forward a few years and I got a new 4Runner that automatically connects to Bluetooth on my phone and I love it. So I was interested in doing this in the 997. Tested the Tune2Air and it stops blinking once the car is off long enough and works great and all of the song information and IPhone can be controlled from the headunit. I have it in my 2009 997.2. Problem solved and money saved.

I figured it out, I have the tune2air with the usb and aux cable not the iPod cable, but I had to “forget device” for the PCM since that was already connected and tune2air would not connect at the same time. Now it works fine! Just can’t get the tracks to show up on the pcm screen

I have a Bovee1000 and not a Tune2Air so I'm simply recommending what's happened to me, however, try hitting "Details" or "Options" (not sure what) on your PCM to read your tracks...also, toggle between AUX and iPod.

Apologies if that was already covered.

I have been contemplating on getting either the NM Automotive or the 9xx CarPlay units. I ended going with a $7 Bluetooth to aux unit this past week and it’s been working great. Paired with the Rennline phone mount and wireless charging, it def puts a hold on the need for CarPlay integration. It’s easy to skip track or put on google maps. Sound is on par with the iPod hard wired connection (Yes, I have universal audio interface). I have wired apple CarPlay in my daily and I’m sure wireless CarPlay is even better, but this cheap, simple mod lets me keep the big dollars for other future mods while still being able to stream.

Choose the $1.99 shipping, I don’t think the order will go through otherwise.

I have the same one. Works great…especially for the price!

Only comment is that I occasionally have to unplug the usb part and plug it back in to reset it. Somehow it freezes up and that re-pairs it with my phone. Not a big deal.
