Thanks for the good and funny responses. I live in TX and its mostly warm and dry. I am looking for a 997.2 and after more searching found this DIY. Inexpensive and sandwedge looks like it solves the hole in the window issue. If I do buy one with the wiper I many keep if for a while and see how I feel about it after a few months. Otherwise may do the below DIY, or perhaps drive in reverse.
