I'm So Stupid 2 - another story
Jbachman2 had a great post about a disconnected battery here:
https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...so-stupid.html
I thought I would toss in my own "I'm so stupid" story for some laughs (at my expense). Although Jbachman2 wanted to help others from making the same mistake, I kinda think I am not helping anyone with my story... because I really am stupid.
I waxed my Porsche with leather conditioner!
Yepper, that sure is stupid. So how does one do this? Well start with Zaino products where some bottles kinda look alike (or they did at one time - they are small company). The Zaino wax type (#5 ??) and the leather conditioner I used both came in the same white bottle albeit with different labeling. Both were white lotion. I grabbed the wrong bottle, squirted a bit into my Zaino mixing bottle, added a few drops of hardener and a-waxing I went.
I pretty much did my whole car until I figured it out. To be fair, you apply Zaino super thin without rubbing... and I can apply it to my whole car in about ten minutes....
Anyway, it came off with Dawn. Now I keep a few pair of readers on my garage bench.
Peace

Wow. I'm laughing with you not at you.

That's something I would do! The best part is that you added the hardener, haha. At least you can laugh about it and no damage done. And now your paint is suppler, softer, and smells nice.

I have readers in my garage, too: My kids. I say, "Here, read this bottle for me."
Even with reading glasses, I still can't see settings on my torque wrenches!
Also: Dawn is a must around the house and garage
She's very pleasant on the eyes

At least you didn't treat the leather with the (exterior) wax!
Glad that it washed off...
