And I thought all Porsche came with 3 keys. I guess my last two Porsches were special.

I think this black one, if the DME and PPI checked out, is a great price. If it were white I would have to start working on my wife to swing it. She just doesn't understand why i need another one go figure.

people post links to cars for sale on eBay, auto trader, cars, etc, etc all the time. I don't think there is anything wrong with it. I could be wrong but i don't think so.

Speaking of good prices on GTS'. Does anyone know what's up with this GTS. They just reduced the price even further. I don't know PPI results or overrev, etc., but the only thing that doesn't look good from the advertisement is that hack job of an audio install http://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-s...98464727&Log=0

Take a look at the CarFax history linked on the listing. Starting on 4/6/2015, its life has been odd. It has been in dealer ownership since then it appears, mostly at Jim Ellis Porsche. Also notice that the current mileage posted is a little less than anything it has had since 4/2015.

GTS prices along with Carrera S 997 prices are at that point in there age were they really fall. It will be years down the road until they level off some. Low to maybe mid 60's on a GTS doesn't surprise me. If the GTS has been tracked even less money and then maybe a shaky carfax even less the car is worth.

The 2009-2012 cars are really good cars. Just be sure to check the Car Fax and have the car PPI at a Porsche dealer. If the car has PDK...buy the extended warranty as PDK can not be fixed...only replaced and that it a $17,000 piece plus labor.

To prospective 997 GTS buyers. I just got mine and luckily got a lot of things covered under CPO saving me thousands in repair.
If it doesn't have a CPO, check for the following items:
- Inspect Windshield and Windshield wipers. If the car has been sitting in a showroom or indoors for an extended period of time, it is likely the windshield wipers got dried out. Even worse, if the car was detailed before being stored indoors, it is likely the wax dried and lack of indoor humidity/moisture got the windshield wipers comply dried out and stuck to the glass. If you don't check this during purchasing inspection, then you will find out the hard way what will happen if it should rain, or if you should need to clean your windshield. Basically, the blades will be forced by the wiper motors, and will pop the hinge and potentially may damage your windshield. You'll need new blades, possibly new wiper arms and motor, and a new windshield

you just bought a porsche - the last thing you need to be concerned about are wiper blades.. this is a small incidental item.

Car looks clean and it's got the aero kit as well. Only thing is the area around the frunk looks pretty dirty, which is surprising if the car was well cared for.

But man oh man - that audio install is a total hack job. Plus it looks ghetto. That would make me worry about how the car's been taken care of.

I was shopping the GTS last year - numerous dealers demanded 80k. Found a couple at the high 60's and low 70's. Lost both to other buyers - thankfully. Ended up adding the new Shelby GT350 instead - and going to add another 911 (997.2 C4S in the high 40's looking good).
