From my understanding, the RCF is like the M3 for lexus, and this LC500 would be more like a 6 series coupe. Rumor has it the LC500 will have the same 467 hp in the RCF and might come with a high performance version with more hp. But like the 6 series, its heavy and expensive, and I'd rather have an M3. And while the RCF does have a glorious NA V8, I'll take my 911.

The thing to consider here is... Lexus doesn't make driver's cars. So if you want a car that you are going to enjoy driving thru a twisty road... this won't be it. Lexus performance vehicles are like previous-gen AMG vehicles... luxury cars with a powerful engine and a sporty appearance.

Just sold my RCF after 8 months to come 'home' to Porsche. It was a brilliant, powerful, luxurious machine, and hid it's weight quite well. The 17 speaker Mark Levinson sound system was remarkable! But, ... it had no soul. The driving technologies at work practically drove for me (particularly the pre-collision system which would sometimes blare at me approaching a corner). And the slush-box was crap even though the torque converter locked up above 2000rpm in second gear - it's simply wonderful to be driving again!

I bet the words "good looking" or "beautiful" never came up either.

Ugh. That looks like LIBERTY*WALK's handiwork.

Just about as polarizing as Akira Nakai's Rauh-Welt cars.

Don't move the goal posts. You said that Lexus doesn't make driver's cars. You can't switch over to an aesthetics discussion now.

As much as I like the GTS, the LFA is in a completely different class with respect to rarity, cost, and technology. Haven't driven either of those cars, but from all accounts, the LFA is an outstanding driver's vehicle.

I would have to strongly disagree with you guys on that opinion. The LFA is already a classic and that V10 engine is a ridiculous marvel of engineering. Have you ever heard the sound it makes? An amazing car, and a rare beast to boot.

We're all fans of Porsche here, but let's not let our fandom get in the way of reality.
