Default Bittersweet day (from a car perspective only)

Just pre-traded my 2007 C4. If all goes according to plan, I'll have a new C4 in April. Overall, the 997.1 experience was great. The car drove nearly as well today as it did 9 years ago, the exception being a few annoying rattles. The cocoa interior held up amazingly well. I never had S envy, but I've coveted a 991 since they came out (and drove one).
I will not miss maintaining a 9 year old car. Repairs, not necessarily unexpected, become costly.
Thanks for everyone's input and expertise over the years. Time to move on...

Congrats! enjoy your new car. Did you order your 991 or are you waiting for whatever comes in?

In the process of ordering it. I have until 2/5 to finalize the build. Waiting to hear if I can do European delivery. Otherwise, it will be here late April.

Yeah, those costly repairs. Bet you'll save two, three times the $80k price diff, first year alone. On top of that you get to tell everyone its a Turbo! (They will "see" the capital "T" in their mind.)

Yes, admittedly the new car is costly, but fortunately, I can afford it. What I couldn't afford was the time and effort it took to bring the car back to the dealership when something went wrong.
I'm not sure that I get your sarcasm. I don't intend to tell anyone that the car is turbocharged. 99.99999% of people couldn't care less, but apparently it bothers you. I'm confident that Porsche will do it right.
I hope that you enjoy whatever Porsche you choose to drive.

I have to agree with mb1. I don't get your sarcasm. Probably because it's also more passive aggressive which you try to tone down with your smiley faces. Don't get me wrong. I read your posts and agree with most of what you say and believe you contribute well to this forum, but, sometimes, your posts come across as _____ ( fill in the blank).
