just had clutch oil change in san diego (dealership) 2009 c2. I got lucky (part irish) my drain plug didn't strip. I supplied 6l fluid. total charge was about 310.00 (labor and new drain plug) I paid about 250.00 for the fluid, so 560.00 and so far so good (few weeks ago) maybe a little less jerky on takeup from stop, otherwise no discernable difference
I will do the gear/diff fluid myself at some point. that doesn't require piwis
any one know good source for that fluid? mobilube type a 75w90

So I am looking to do the same (6 years with only 33k miles) on a 987.2 PDK
So far I have gotten these quotes from dealerships in socal. Now this is just to drain/flush the clutch oil only with 5.5L or so...NO OIL PAN (AKA NO FILTER REPLACEMENT)

Circle: $577 labor plus oil $227 plus $24 for the plug (can bring your own oil and plug, it will just be the labor charge)
Waiting for quotes from Mckenna, DTLA and Pasadena
DTLA: $780
Mckenna: $510 (noting that the cost might varies slight depending the amt of oil needed)
So with that said I am going with Mckenna. I've had great experience with them in the past when my HPFP went out, they will even flatbed your car so you dont have to drive it there.
Circle quoted me $675 labor and oil included, didn't mention on the cost of new plug.

If you don't need the pan, subtract $366.
Then call dealers and find out how much labor they charge for this service to determine if you are underpaying, overpaying or getting a solid deal.
With all the computer hacking going on in the world, why can't someone hack a Durametric to control the oil fill mode? Better yet, lets contact Durametric or a software vendor to write the code and produce a product - crowdsource it?
I know I can get the oil for about $140 but I am sure the dealer parts dept will have to make some $$ so figure $200 for just the oil plus $310 in labor which is about 2hrs at $160 an hour.
I could save $60 if I bring my own, but I have had my Audi serviced at McKenna before and they are very reasonable and good service/ quality so I don't mind paying $60 more, and it saves me the hassle of ordering the oil etc etc.
and honestly $510 is not bad, I recall the SMG II clutch oil on my BMW M6 cost about the same, and we all know there is a premium on Porsche stuff :-P
Just a follow-up: I picked up the car yesterday after the PDK clutch fluid change along with the additional step of changing the pan/filter assembly. The labor charge ended up being roughly $370 dollars after the PCA discount. The car apparently took a little over 5 of the 6 liters of fluid since I got back a nearly full liter bottle. So the total with the pan/filter change was about $370 (labor) + $321 (pan) + $119 (fluid) for a total of roughly $810 using parts ordered for cheaper online. (Again check with your dealer to see if they'll install parts ordered elsewhere).
I would guess that most of the labor was for the fluid change procedure since the pan looks pretty straightforward so lets say a fluid change only might have been only around $370 using the fluid ordered online or $490 or so using the dealer's price for the fluid.
They saved the old pan and a little fluid for me so here are before and after shots of the filter. Overall, the fluid looked quite clean and while there were quite a few particles of fine material caught in the filter, it was nowhere close to being saturated. While I could have probably skipped the pan/filter, at least now I know there aren't any signs of problems there that could have been fixed during the last couple of days of warranty.
I would consider your used filter to be filthy and can only imagine how it would look after being used a second time. While I can understand saving a little money buying the parts yourself...considering the cost of replacing a pdk trans I cannot imagine skimping on changing the filter.

Considering the 991 PDK is on a 10 or 12yr interval, the 6yr/60k mile interval on the 997.2 is probably premature since both gear boxes are essentially the same.

This is a very good ? How do the two differ especially since were both models not available as a 2012 my?
