My Porsche amazing birthday present
Greetings friends,
I thought I would share a little of my last week. My wife surprised me for my 50th birthday. We arrived at Logan airport last Wednesday evening and I had no idea whatsoever where we were heading. I only knew to pack for cold weather. To my surprise we boarded a flight for Munich. Upon landing on Thursday morning, we picked up our rental 911 and spent Thanksgiving hurtling across the Autobahn toward Stuttgart. We enjoyed our day drinking wonderful beer and local food. Friday morning we toured the Porsche factory (sorry no photos allowed) and then the Porsche museum. We toured some castles on the way back to Munich. Then a few more days enjoying that wonderful Bavarian city. It was the trip of a lifetime! Although I might just have to come back again to take a European delivery...

Wow. What a trip! Congrats. My wife lets me have car parts around the house. That's as far as I've been able to push it outside a model RS 4.0 in the shared office. Haha

Thanks guys. My wife loves Porsche as much as I do. She asked more questions than I did on the factory tour. She lingered at the museum, reading every exhibit exactly as I was doing. And loving every minute of it. She drove the 6 speed 911 just as hard as I did. She graciously let me drive most of the time. She's awesome.

Damn dude, you're 50? Sure don't look it. Slàinte mhòr, happy belated!
One of these days I'll do euro delivery on a nice car ... Maybe as a celebration trip and gift to myself once I pay my student loans off.

This is amazing. Congrats on a great trip and hitting the "significant other lottery"!
My wife surprised me with a trip to Napa for my 40th, which I thought was pretty cool. Then, once we arrived she informed me of the World Class Driving experience.
Ended up behind the wheel of a Ferrari 599, Lambo Gallardo, Bentley Continental SS, Audi R8, and Jaguar XKR!
Only problem is attempting to come up with something equivalent for her next year...
