Found it on the local CL, looks like it's been previously posted on RL twice

Price reduction on this 997 TT - nice build for a Tip. I looked at the car and appears to be some oil seepage from RMS. Would recommend any interested party to do a PPI.

Might get better with some regular driving. Happened with my SL500 that sat for a while before I bought it. Nice looking car with interesting interior.

Cool! What did you pay? I thought about it, but the accidents turned me off. It is hard to sell a car with an accident history, at least without a big discount!

Edit: I see from an earlier post you are paying $42,000. Nice! That is a solid find.

I spoke with the owner last month but he was firm at $48k. Considering the accident history, I passed. I should have followed up, as it was a nice build, well cared for, and in a good color.

Geez; people are paying high 70's private party for a manual 997.2 GTS? Give me a 991.1 C2S with sport suspension and sport seats any day. Not to mention I will pocket the $10k for coilovers and mods. More power, less weight, better suspension, and just as connected. 991 models really are good.

I drove a 997 GTS: it felt like my 997 C2S, but with gold plating and a price to match.

At high 60's, it makes sense.

Thanks, I hadn't realized the price was higher before I looked at it. I think he was asking $44k when I first talked to him. The "accidents" were all really minor parking "altercations". I have all the repair paperwork and the guys doing the PPI said there is zero evidence of a repair. Also, I plan on it being my DD and never selling it, so the history doesn't bother me a bit.

I flew out to KC on Tuesday and drove it back to Denver in one stint. Back home by 6pm. Car was fantastic. Many thanks to everyone that contributes to this thread.

Everyone is entitled to their opinion, obviously. But I do not agree with your assessment of the 991.1. To me it is the modern 996. Prices are reflecting that.

Are 996s that strong in pricing? 2012-2014 991s have barely lost any value in the past 3 years. Go back and look at ads from 3 years ago: the cars would be priced the same now.

Sick! We had a 991.2 C2S and it simply blew away most any 911 I had driven prior. It was every bit the driver's car as the 997; just a lot, lot faster

While the pricing may have remained steady, it may be because they are being buoyed by 997.2 prices which are almost identical. We are now seeing evidence of the pricing crossing over. According to some people, the 991 market is messing up values of older cars because to many layman, it does not make sense yet. This opinion came to me straight from Tim Holt.

I haven't seen pricing get close yet; in most examples, the spread is $10-15k. The 997.2 C4S (2011) Aqua Blue PDK that was posted a few weeks back with 9,000 miles was listed at $66,900. The cheapest 2013 C4S (1st year of 991 C4S production) coupe in the country with less than 20k miles is priced at $79,000, and most are above $80k.

A friend recently bought a 2013 C2S with all sport options and Sport Design kit; it had 58,000 miles. It was a very, very nice car and super clean, but high on mileage, and he paid $62,500. I have never seen a 997.2 C2S with PDK and nearly 60,000 miles command north of $50,000. A manual with that kind of mileage might get sold in the low 50's.

Even the GTS spread is $15-20k.

Both are great cars, but even the GT3 991 vs 997.2 has a $10k spread. That is saying something, as the 997.2 GT3 is highly coveted and the last of the Mezger (and, it was assumed, the last 6MT GT3).

My math shows that the jump from 997.1 to 997.2 to 991.1 is around 25% per generation when comparing apples to apples. The 991.2 is a bit too new perhaps as it is still steeper in the depreciation curve with fewer examples for sale, but a low mile well equipped C2S 2015 will likely command $80k, and a low-mile well-equipped 2017 C2S $100k (again, 25%).
