It sat here for sale for ever and ever! It was on cars.com for a few months as well.

I like the build; it has sport-pasm, which is not easy to find on a 997, and with the carmax warranty being transferrable I wondered why it didn't sell.

I sold my low mileage C2S that was only a $103k build with PDK for $56,500 in a few days. This is a much nicer build!

Are you staying with the Porsche brand? I've been pondering and searching for another car besides a Porsche 911 within the same price and performance realm and it's been difficult. The only "other" car I am willing to accept is the Lexus LC500. Unfortunately it is a bit out of my price range at the moment. I am even considering an air cooled 911 at this point.

Of course! I couldn't even consider another "performance car". I drove an RS5 a couple of years ago and it was joke compared to any 911 I have driven!

Also, the 911 is the best bang for the buck. Maintenance is reasonable, the cars are reliable, and if you buy well, depreciation is low or even non-existent.

Thanks for the tip. Have you considered an air cooled 911? I've driven an 83 911SC, super fun car to drive but the AC wasn't blowing cold enough for the TX heat we get down here.

Maybe Vintage Air can fix the AC issues?

From my understanding, even the aftermarket AC upgrades are not worth it. Maybe I'm not familiar with them enough to know for sure. Have you had any experience with them? Sorry to go a bit off topic but still 911.

Check out the griffiths kuehl system for the 911SC. If properly done, I hear that it provides fantastic summer time cooling even down here in TX.

I considered an aircooled 911, an SC even. In the end, after spending an entire day with one, I felt like the novelty would wear off quickly and I would get tired of having an old car with old car problems.

Default Nice Carmon Red 997.1 TT - tip, PCCBs

https://www.autotrader.com/cars-for-...1&LNX=VDPCCEML

Beautiful color and $155k MSRP. How much does a tip affect value?

I'm the opposite, when I compare driving a 911SC to a 997, the SC of course is more raw and visceral which makes it fun for a weekend toy to relief stress. I could never get bored of that. The 997 feels like a modern car with all of the creature comfort, power steering etc not as fun for a weekend short drive. You're right though, I wouldn't feel safe or comfortable taking a long weekend trip with the wife on an SC, I can already hear her complaining about how hot it is, noisy and harsh ride. This is why I am leaning towards a 997. Can't have the best of both world.

A lot. Tip was expensive for the buyer when new and expensive for the seller when used..and cheaper for the buyer when used
The PDK is less divisive.

I have seen the tiptronics bring almost 10k less in a 997 turbo.
