First post so apologies if I am in the wrong location.

I settled on a 997.2S PDK for my next car. I happen to really like the Racing Green (PRG) one below. 2009 997.2 38k miles. CPO but not a lot of options. I understand that these PRG cars were the launch model and sat around for a while.

Therefore, 59k for this car seems high. Am i missing something? How much is the typical CPO premium? I actually enjoy the fact the classic look of the car but I don't want to lose bucket loads of money when it is time to sell. Thoughts for a fair price? Thanks!

Itís a $55k car. The ask is slightly high but try to work your best price. Not many of these cars are CPO anymore. CPO premium is around $3k. The mileage is very nice. IMO, the color is very cool. Too many of these cars are silver, black, etc. The only thing you will likely want to change is the steering wheel to one with paddles. Go for it and let us know what happens.

Don’t assume that because it is CPO that all of the scheduled maintenance has been brought up to date. Make sure the 40,000 mile service was done, including plugs. Also the PDK should have been serviced, which can be pricey on the 09’s because the pan is usually replaced. Together the major service and PDK service can add up to thousands, especially at the dealer - so factor that into your offer or have it included. I had a PRG launch car previously, very cool color, in my case I got really tired of the color over time, but that’s just me. As a frame of reference for your prospective purchase, FWIW I recently came back to the .2S and after a long search my experience was that prices for a mint, low mile, no accident one owner .2S are at or slightly above the $60K mark and rising due to limited availability of such cars. That’s about what I ended up paying for an 09S with 23,000 miles that cannot be told from new. Best of luck and let us know how it works out.

Great advice. I think an independent PPI is necessary irrespective of the CPO.

I’ve been looking at this 2007 C4. Seems like it’s been well taken care of, it’s a good color, and checks almost all of my boxes. The Carfax does report an accident “involving hood impact” but it was over 10 years ago. Provided I get a good PPI (of course), what do you think?

Purchased my 2009 (997.2) Targa 4S, 26k miles in Nordic Gold for $52k in April 2018. Original build price was $133k. I think I got a pretty good deal.

Well played, sounds like you got yourself a deal. I think prices have crept up since then as fewer low mileage examples are available coupled with the rising popularity of the model.

I think that is a great car and a great deal. Love the exterior color, it will sell quick.

Welcome onboard!! As you mentioned, $59k is high for this car, in my opinion. For your reference, I'm also in the same area and we picked up a CPO 2012 C4S with 36k miles for $2k more in January. The color is not exciting as PRG (ours is meteor gray), but it was a $124k-sticker car with PSE, SC, PDK, leather dash/console and bucket seats with carbon back.

Not sure if Rusnak still have the same pricing strategy (as far as room for negotiation), but also for your reference: back in Dec 2013, we purchased our first 997.2 from Rusnak. It was a CPO black/black 2010 C2 base (original MSRP $88k) with 33k miles. Originally Rusnak was asking $60k as well and we managed to talk it down to $52k before tax, and they gave us $2k more for trade-in than CarMax on our 2012 Audi A6.

Beautiful color and $155k MSRP. How much does a tip affect value?

Wow 70k asking... tip is never gonna bring that money.

With the Ceramic brakes, wood interior I bet he gets close low mileage as well.

If you're ok with the Tiptronic, this is definitely one of the nicer turbo's I've seen. He lists original MSRP as 145K but it was actually $155k. If this was a manual the ask would be $90k. I think $70k is in line for a Tip with these options and low mileage.
