Interesting. You're finding some good examples of reasonably priced 997.2's. I had resigned to the fact that I could most likely only afford a well maintained 997.1 with the options I'm looking for (manual, Sport Chrono, etc.) in my price range ($35k-$40k) but seeing some of these 997.2's is giving me pause. If a couple of these that you had posted were C2S's, I'd be buying plane tickets as we speak to go check them out. LOL

A mid night blue metallic, one of my favorite color. This one has 1 accident, ran into a tree lol. No mention of air bag deploy. Clean title, has nice options, low miles I think it's a good deal.

A funny story, I initially had intentions of going into the 911 world and get a 996. After joining this awesome forum to learn more about them, I decided I want a 997.1 because it was still within my budget. After a lot of researching of the various models, the S are nice but not enough for me to want them exclusively. During my research I read a lot about the S model being more prone to bore scoring but that's another conversation. I would be happy with the base model. For me personally, I like the wide body C4 or C4S. I have my eye on this one 2008 C4 that has low miles and mint condition. Now that I'm starting to see the 997.2 price going down, I'm going to stick around longer in the market and see if I can find a decent one near where I live. I know if I search for a 911 nation wide I will have a better chance of finding the one I want but I just don't have the time to buy one long distance. I'm not in a rush, to me part of the fun is in the searching.
I saw this one here in Denver pop up in one of my more recent searches. I'm far from a market expert, but this seems like a good deal from the pics and brief description. If it had a manual tranny (and some interior pics), I'd be going to check it out ASAP.

Speaking of Colorado, I'm pretty adamant on getting an S, regardless if it's a .1 or .2 997. You loose roughly 10% of an engines power at a mile-high from sea level. I live at just over 6,000 ft and plan on some mountain drives, taking me even higher in elevation. I tell my friends, family, wife, coworkers, or anyone who will listen, to always get the bigger engine for whatever car you're looking at if you live in Colorado. I have no doubt a C2 or C4 would still be a blast to drive here, but having test drove an '06 C2S, I certainly wouldn't want any less power than that. I know the .2's with DFI make more power with both engines. It's just a personal mental hurdle for me, and I feel like if I got a C2, I would always regret not getting the S. My daily driver is a Toyota 4Runner, so I would actually prefer a 2 over a 4, even though the 4's look awesome with the wider stance.

How do you rationalize that this auto transmission coupe with nearly 50k miles and an accident in it's history and at this price is even remotely close to a good deal.
OOPs. nearly 60K miles not 50

Nice car as long as it's not Carrera White which is now Known to be a fad color and not as desierable. but hey a 2010 50k miles under $50k with manual is a nice idea. Aftermarket wheels??? .

It's a PDK which makes it the desirable automatic and an accident report isn't always the end of the world. That wouldn't stop me from buying if the damage was minimal, the repair was done professionally and the title is still clear.
