That's my old car, I owned it for 9 years. It's cherry!
Other than red brakes and a few HP what's not to like?

Or put another way, a ~$60k discount from a new PTS

I obviously didn't get the $20k premium, just 1/2 that. (BTW my Touring's paint cost >$12k!) I had no idea it would end up on the www.

It's a super car, almost perfect mechanically & cosmetically, different enough to warrant a premium, how much premium is for somebody else to decide.

Which Porsche is doing away with for 992. I think its a shame. All 911 starting with 992 generation will be widebody (which it isn't a widebody if they all have it).. along with the signature red reflector that runs between taillights that used to be reserved for AWD models. Now that red strip will be on all of them.

I didn't know that about the 992. How funny would it be if the pre-992 narrow body cars now become more desirable/valuable. You know..."they don't make 'em anymore"

No sh*t. First I've heard of that. Not even a RWD GTS option anymore without the reflector? Reflectors on all 992's?

Passively exploring sale of mine...seeking to sell or trade for lower cost sedan as I journey towards an air-cooled project.

I'm not debating the merits of one model over the other, I'm simply asking from a future valuation standpoint.
Historically speaking, a wide body 911 always commands a premium over its narrow body brother. This has always been the case from the SC's up (probably earlier but im not up to speed on pre 78 cars). A wide body 4S perfectly fills the void between a standard S and a Turbo/GT car which cost considerably more. I originally wanted a Turbo but didnt like the thought of payments, so when a 4S fell out of the sky, I snapped it up that day.

You’re absolutely right. Not a damn thing not to like on that car outside of the motor. You can tell that it was well loved. I’ve been obsessed with getting my hands on a Maritime car since the 964 days. I think my Turbo has me a little spoiled in the HP department, unfortunately. It would be hard to go back.
