If you have the build sheet and the VIN info from Suncoast look for this option code:

762 PAG Code - Launch code

My recommendation is to do the LN bearing upgrade. I drive mine daily and decided to do it about 2 years ago when I was 52,000 miles. I'm now at 75,990 miles and the car runs flawless I love it. (Original bearing was in perfect condition and sits on my desk as a paper weight, but it's good peace of mind...just make sure you check in about who you are going to have do it - there are shops that charge 5,000 and then there are shops that charge less then 2k.) Make sure it's LN recommended.
Thanks for the kind words. Sound advice. Wasn't really sure what the long term experience of LN owners was. Good to have that feedback.

I'm leaning towards having an oil analysis done and deciding after that.

Beautiful 911

Still have mine - took it out to a Porsche armada yesterday, had a blast. Would like to add the 997.2 launch edition to the stable...

I am a new member and will be purchasing a Launch car on Wednesday morning. It is the 997.1 seal grey metallic. It has 20" HRE wheels, Michelin Sport Cup tires, about 2 grand worth of carbon fiber on the interior and not a scratch on it. It does have 74, 800 miles on it. It has gone through through a full dealer inspection. The dealer replaced the shifter cables after the inspection. The only item listed on the report was the brake pads were down to 3 to 5 mm pad life. The owner had the water pump replaced 1,100 miles ago. The owner also added a hard wired radar detector with in the last year as well as bluetooth. It is also coming with the Porshe windshield shade and Porsche car cover. I am looking forward to picking it up on Wednesday since it will be my first Porsche.

I know everyone loves pics, so here are a few. I will be removing the vinyl Porsche graphic along the bottom.

Interesting - I was not aware that the C4S Launch cars were equipped differently than the C2S launch cars. Thought they were all black with full leather and PCCBs, but your option list clearly has the "Launch" option on it.

Looks great!

First I ever heard of a seal grey 2005 launch car. I thought they were all black with ceramic brakes.

Default any idea what the total number for 997.2 launch

I wonder if any one know how many 997.2 launch model made in 2009? or during the 997.2 model years? Should all these come with GT2 racing sport seats? Mine does. Just wondering.
Thanks in advance.

My understanding of the 997.2 is there are 2 launch configurations. First one being the C4S in Grey as posted above loaded including GT2 seats. Second one being the British Racing Green C2S with PDK and beige interior. Most i've seen are PDK - not sure if 6 speed was configured.

The only launch edition for the 997.1 i'm aware of is the black on black C2S loaded with almost every option including big yellows. First i've seen a grey one too...

Marsirover - congrats on your launch car! One of my favorite 997.2's - would love to see more pics of that interior....
