Default 991 GT3/GT3 centerlock wheels on 997 GTS?

Would it fit? There were a few threads talking about this but I don't see a definite conclusion...was wondering if there are more info out there?

Explored it, different offsets. Didn't go any further as I wasn't interested in having to modify it in any way, i.e., spacers.

Oops! I looked at 997GT3 centerlocks not 991, so, no idea.

'93 RX-7!!!! I had mine from Aug '92 until June '04, then another from Oct '04 until Oct '06. Fritz got both of them.

Took my original to 400-hp. Wish I still had it. Beautiful cars!

That's good Joe as there are no methods for modification of the centerlocks..No spacers etc... Different offsets may be usable...just have to verify before any purchase or application.

What are you trying to accomplish? Just like the 991 look better? Want to change from black to silver wheels, or vice versa?

Had two of those and did the same with HP. Crazy fast cars that allowed lots of power to be added for pennies. Intake and exhaust mods alone made almost 50hp as i recall it. Here's my second one just before the engine blew up. Replaced under warranty despite my tweaks.

I have been searching for a definitive answer on this this fitment as well... so far, no luck!

Here are the wheel specs:

997 GTS
Front: 8.5 X 19" ET: 51mm

Rear: 11 X 19" ET: 56mm

991 GT3
Front: 9.0 x 20" ET 55mm
Rear: 12.0 x 20" ET 47mm

Any help would be greatly appreciated!

Plug your numbers in here and you can see what the offset differences do.

it doesn't work on the calculator. fronts look good. no problem. they grow by 10mm or so on the inside rim, but it's moot, as rears are an inch wider and just about all of that inch is added to the outer rim...so it sticks out about 21mm more than a stock GTS rim. close, but no cigar.

Has anyone confirmed if this would/wouldn't work? The rears sound like they would fit since many people run the OZ's which are 19x12 with high 40's ET.

.8 inches sounds about right for getting rid of that awful tuck in the rear with the stick GTS rims.
