I recently received a notice from myCARFAX regarding this recall: has anyone else been advised of this notice?

Three Wheelin'
I haven't been advised of it but mine was just replaced a month or two ago. They had the part in stock and said they go through pretty quickly. I'm thinking this is a known issue.

That switch has been a problem since they started using it with the 996-
Once the metal arm fatigues- it sometimes looses contact.
In a pinch you can also Carefully bend it back so it is closer to the clutch pedal. I carry a spare in my door pocket. It's just held in place with a PIA screw and a connector for the electrical

I was unaware of recall but I did just get this fixed a week ago. Here is the link to an old thread that describes my problem. If this is the same issue as recall it certainly has been known for quite a while.
What is BS is trying to start your car a couple of times unsuccessfully while your prompted to fully depress clutch pedal when you know damn well you already are!

Here is a thread that references that "recall":

I'll ask my SA about WBO8 when my 997 goes in for service to replace a leaking front axel seal.
I've learned that the WCO9 campaign was accomplished by the original owner.
