Default #WC09 Voluntary Service Action - Replace Clutch Pedal Switch (997.2)

I recently received a notice from myCARFAX regarding this recall: has anyone else been advised of this notice?

I haven't been advised of it but mine was just replaced a month or two ago. They had the part in stock and said they go through pretty quickly. I'm thinking this is a known issue.

That switch has been a problem since they started using it with the 996-

Once the metal arm fatigues- it sometimes looses contact.

In a pinch you can also Carefully bend it back so it is closer to the clutch pedal. I carry a spare in my door pocket. It's just held in place with a PIA screw and a connector for the electrical

I was unaware of recall but I did just get this fixed a week ago. Here is the link to an old thread that describes my problem. If this is the same issue as recall it certainly has been known for quite a while.
What is BS is trying to start your car a couple of times unsuccessfully while your prompted to fully depress clutch pedal when you know damn well you already are!

Thanks for all of the feedback!

I've pinged my SA and will report back when I learn more...

My 2009 C2S was included in this campaign, along with the WB08 high pressure fuel pump campaign. Both were done by the PO.

Thanks for putting the WBO8 campaign on my radar, Kevin!

Here is a thread that references that "recall":

https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...n-ongoing.html

I'll ask my SA about WBO8 when my 997 goes in for service to replace a leaking front axel seal.

I've learned that the WCO9 campaign was accomplished by the original owner.

I don't understand this statement. Porsche will pay to fix a known issue, free of charge.
Way to stick it to the man!
