The only radar detector that has ever interested me is the Solo, because it's battery operated. I can't stand cords hanging in view, and I don't want to hardwire anything and leave a bracket showing. I would want to be able to grab it off and stow it when I park. But I've read the Solo isn't as powerful as the others and wonder how it would work on the open road. Which is the only place I would use it. I have no need for it in town, so I don't care about how well it rejects falses from garage door openers etc. Anyone using the Solo S2 or S3?
