Default Intro: 997 C4S

Hi everyone! First time poster, long time lurker. After about a year of looking, finally in a 997 C4S. I looked at a bunch, and would have been perfectly content with a mid-80's Carrera, but couldn't justify the current air-cooled prices vs 997's.

Mods will inevitably come, but for now, I've been driving with a big grin on my face the last couple of weeks. Here's the car:

Nice looking 997. Tell us more about it, how is it equipped. What part of the world is it in?

Very nice. Those wheels look good with black. Have you thought of painting the wheels black while leaving a small lip in silver? You should see EMC2's car. Search for his thread on lowering the car to see the same wheels painted black with a silver lip.

Beautiful car, I love the 997 c4s and I think it is one of the best looking modern day 911's with its wide stance and gritty sports car feel that is not as prevalent in the 991 in my opinion. A super clean c4s is becoming a bit harder to find as clean as the one you have without mods, or aftermarket stuff done to it. Took me 3 months to find mine, and I have been very happy with my choice. Congrats!

Nice. Looks like you're in BC somewhere and the car is from Weissach? I also got my C4S from them last September. Where were those pictures taken? Congrats on the new car!

Thanks everyone. It's an 06, typical options but without the adaptive sports seats, PSE, PCCB, or X51. I'm in the Vancovouver area, so yes Saaboteur, from Weissach Performance. In fact, I did see your car but couldn't pull the trigger fast enough. Pics were taken at Centennial Beach, Tsawwassen.

Thanks. Yes, I did see it, and it looks hot. I think eventually I'll go with Fuchs.

Thanks, I've been grinning like an idiot behind the wheel. It's a well-balanced car out of the box, and I'm not certain how mild or wild I'll go with it. First things first is to lower it a touch, and maybe spacers. The rears are with the 305's already.

That seems to be the theme these days, used 997's seems to be in high demand, no one wants to pay the premium for air cooled 911's, no one really cares for the 996, the 991 is still out of reach for most people. Which leaves the 997 as the most reasonable price 911's. Congrats on your new purchase.

Congratulations on your beautiful "beast". I have owned a 993 and 996 before my current 997.1 and I loved each of them...but my C4S feels like I eloped with her. The feeling I have when zipping around in it is just more intense than before. Drive it like you stole it!
