What a thrill! Congratulations, you made a great choice. Bought my first 2 years ago after drooling over every 911 I saw since I was about 10. So that put my wait at 35 years... Sitting here staring at it now 😄...

Congratulations! It took me about 35 years to realize the dream also with my 2009 C2S .

Congratulations from a fellow Targa owner. These are amazing cars.

I love your wheels. Simple 5 spoke that are easy to clean. I'd like to pick up a set someday...

Welcome aboard. Now do something that is very important. DRIVE IT. Too many Porsche owners are Type A personalities--working their butts off for a lifetime, dreaming about the day that will finally arrive in which they buy that elusive 911--and then they baby it, polish it, look at it, but fail to drive it daily.

Edgy01 - thank you for the recommendation. I put in another thread about the car (I suppose I need to merge them) that in driving it home I put about 3%-4% of the cars mileage on it in one day...out of 8 years of its life. This morning I was thinking that I should baby it, not drive it etc. as I don't want to diminish its value...I paid a premium for low mileage (12.5K miles) and don't want to erode the value.

But that thinking is really dumb...I bought the car to drive so gosh darn it that is what I will do!

thanks!

Congrats. You paid the premium for the best miles. In my experience, the urge to preserve goes away!! I just want to drive my 997 more and more.

Well said! I think the coolest Porsche is the "million mile" 356 that was featured in Excellence about a year ago. A daily driver since new... passed from father to son. Just keep fixing it and enjoying it.
