Default New Product... CLASSIC SHIFT **** - Delrin/Aluminum

Hey guys, just wanted to share my new shift **** design with you...

CLASSIC SHIFT ****

Classic ball ****, with a slight cutout around the equator for added grip - comes in either anodized aluminum or Delrin.

It's available in Standard height (comparable to stock), or in the Extended height version to raise the **** 1.5 to 2-inches - ideal for use with a short shifter.

(Personally, I find the Porsche short shifter throws a little too short for my liking, and requiring a hair too much effort. The raised **** smooths the throws out, and I like having the **** located closer to the steering wheel.)

With the Standard base, both set screws are hidden from view. With the Extended base, a single set screw is visible on the right side of the shaft. And as you can see from the pic, several color and material combinations are available.

I'll get some interior pics posted early next week. In the meantime, I'll be at Watkins Glen all weekend, so if you want to swing by to take a look and/or try one out, shoot me an email. Thanks!

I like it! Any way to have a white delrin ****?

Small nit to pick, not very important, but do the ***** also have the gearshift pattern engraved into them?

Yes! The shift pattern will be available as a special order item - I'm working the details out with my machine shop and should have everything finalized this week. The pattern will be milled into the top of the **** to give it some depth. I'll post full info, as well as a CAD rendering, later this week.

I will have a white Delrin option offered soon. I actually had some made with this initial batch, but there were some cosmetic issues with that batch of raw material, so those are being redone.

Here is one more pic showing the shift ***** from the top:

I wouldn't mind some machined and laser etched climate control *****/toggles.

Count me out. A gated shifter should have a micromillimeter-precise mechanical linkage.

An MX-5 Miata or S2000, sure.

But not our wet-noodle-feeling, cable-actuated gearboxes.

Know what an aluminum shifter ball feels like after sitting in a hot car all day? better have a set of oven mitts handy.

Agreed!

That's why I offer a Delrin option - it's impervious to temperature change. Ideal for the dead of summer.
