Default PSE by Eisenmann?

Jacked up the rear of the car last night so I can try to diagnose (apparently) non functioning PSE and low speed, low RPM rattle. Haven’t gotten to checking everything yet, as I only managed to get the car up in the air late last night. Found a few posts on both subjects, so am going to follow up on those later on.

But interestingly to me, it seems that the PSE cans are made by Eisenmann. There is a small badge on the side of the muffler. I was going to post an iPhone picture, but it didn’t turn out very well at all. Seems pretty cool. Reminds me of when I was having a poke underneath my C55 AMG – found that the springs were by Eibach, printed right there on them.

An exhaust rattle is likely inside the cats or maybe a loose heat-shield somewhere. You may be able to hear a rattle in the cats by tapping them with a rubber mallet, once they're cool of course.

Noticed the same stamping marks when I pulled mine off.

Pete, thanks for the tips. I'll crawl underneath again and have another poke around. Found a thread indicating that the straps around the tubing could bend, leading to rattling, but I didn't see any of that when I was under the car last night. I did fine one of the bolts on one of the clamps might have been a bit too close to the subframe, and moved that.

Also found that one of the vacuum actuators isn't functioning, so that likely explains why there is no real change in exhaust note when I press the sport button.
