Default Another Place to Buy Parts

Wanted to share another place to purchase parts for your Porsche. Pretty nice site.

Saw it on the velocity channel!

I think I've used it once - and my impression was that they have lower end shoddy parts. pelicanparts is my goto place!

I started with Pelican parts. Then migrated to ECS tuning and Turner. Then I tried rockauto and now I don't care as long as it's a quality vendor. Question - is there a site to use to look up part numbers? RealOEM for my BMW's was a great tool. Need an equivalent site.

You can get a copy of the complete PET catalog for your model & year in PDF format. I don't remember where I downloaded it from but a Rennlist, Renntech, or Google search will probably get you the right links. I looked to attach it here, but it's 17.1 MB.

Mine too, and sometimes Eckler's Automotion (used to be Performance Products). There are a couple other outfits that sometimes have some hard to find parts for some of the classic Porsches, like Sierra Madre Collection, Stoddard Parts, & Lindsey Racing.

RockAuto has been around for a long time. I think they started out as a wholesaler or supplier to shops. Those places that service any make/model, the ones with the big "Import Service" sign. It's like a different version of NAPA.

I prefer the other places people have mentioned as they specialize in parts for Porsche.

Their commercials make me not want to order from them. Annoying cheap cartoon production. Pelican or sun coast for me.

I think you mean rmeuropean?

Also, I've used rock auto for years and have had a lot of problems with being sent the wrong stuff, to include struts, air filters, belts etc. While they are willing to refund it is a hassle. Also, some of the sub brands I am not 100% confident on their quality. I ordered some URO branded hoses and they were so clearly inferior to the genuine Mercedes parts, I threw them out, and that was the last time I ordered from Rockauto-3 years ago. Better prices, but paying for shipping frequently makes them more expensive, and Amazon is getting more parts and better organized.
