This is my Mom's ride
I have a very cool Mom, verrrrry cool.
She is a Porsche fanatic and she knows her stuff. You will see as you roll down the photos below.
She owns a 2010 manual 997.2 C2S. It took her approximately 15 years before my father could convinced her to learn manual. Ever since then she had not looked back. She once said to me "as long as I can drive, there is no way in hell i am driving an automatic again!" BTW that includes PDK lol. Her previous car was a modified manual Boxster S, she is no newbie to this "car scene"
I recently had a chance to take a few days off from work and flew back home from Asia to visit my family and friends.
I took the 997 out for a drive and snapped a few pics before she is selling it. Yes she is selling it. And this is the really *cool* part. She is on list for the GT4 with Carmine red and all the right options.
Of course, there is her wonderful son *me* advising her what options she need and doesn't need.
After taking delivery of the car, she told me the car was TOO quiet. To most disbelief, she told me to look for an aftermarket exhaust for her. YES an aftermarket exhaust. Then lower the car and put some spacer to make it look good.
OOOMMMGGG.
This was RIGHT AFTER the delivery of the car. The IPD Plenum was just a gift from me for her bday. Unbelievable isn't it. The amazing thing is, she knows exactly what are the differences between, slick, R compound and street tires. What is Michelin pilot sport cups and Micheline PS2. Obviously newer ones she isn't up to date, but I think that is pretty damn amazing already.
Just absolutely love her, happy mother's day to you all! Only regret I have is working too hard at Asia and not having enough time to spend with her, living across the globe. Treasure your family is most important in life
So gents, let me present you her 2010 997.2 C2S. This is a Canadian car located in the beautiful city of Vancouver.

Dual projector headlamps
Sport bucket seats
Navi
Heated steering
and maybe a few other options, can't remember.
Mods
Sharkwerks X Pipe
Gundo heck (x pipe wasn't noticeable enough)

Your Mom should find that 918 driving granny and they should start their own driving club!
Great story. Great car. Thanks for sharing....T

I would love to, but i am not sure if she want her face on the forum. I post this because I am very grateful to have a mother like this, who share the same joy and hobby.

I get the too quiet part.... my 2009 C2S sounds like a Buick. I am not into modding at all but I put on the SharkWerks X pipe and it works for me. Not too loud, just a bit more Porsche like.
Peace

I certainly hope your Bad @$$ Mom plans on tracking that GT4. It would be a shame to let her enthusiasm and love of Porsches not reach it's full potential, especially in such a purpose built machine.

Your mom is as cool as my wife! Her car looks very similar, although is a 2011 and cabriolet. She's on a business trip all week so it's MINE, MINE, ALL MINE! (Rubs hands together and cackles evilly.)

Thank you for the comments.
Unfortunately, she doesnt know how to do heel and toe, so when she is at the track, she gets a little intimidated.
The GT4 though, with its sport button and auto throttle blip, should make the experience more interesting for her.
