Default Big Brake news for 997.1 Base owners !

Hello fellow 997.1 Base (!) drivers,

For people who are looking for bigger brakes and always end up with the well known brands....
Found out last week that an UK company can deliver bigger front brake discs which can replace the small looking 318 mm discs for our 997.1 Base .
They deliver floating 2-piece discs in the right dimensions for the front side of a 997.1 Base ; right dimensions in this case means 28 mm wide disc, 67 mm high (lying flat), 130 x 5 and 98 mm for fitment on the front-hub. You can choose for 340 / 345 /350 disc diameter.
You can keep the standard calipers but you only have to raise them with spacers to fit with larger brake-discs.
For me, living in The Netherlands, I have to wait until I can visit the UK for work related-reasons and pick up a set and hide it in my car because VAT, import taxes, custom clearance etc. etc. makes it not possible for me at this moment.
Company is GSM Perfomance (nope, no shares or whatever in this company), they were very helpful.

https://gsmperformance.co.uk/

Hope this helps.

Regards,

Dick964

Hi Atgani,

I think they have to update their website for this item.
You can send them an email; I did this and got an answer same day.
