A Porsche Driver's Nightmare

That and they endanger everyone as the idiot (often south-east asian woman in the Seattle area) by driving their cars past dusk and in the dark with no headlights and tail-lights on, because of the always illuminated dash, they are to stupid to remember to turn on the exterior lights when its dark.

I drive 36000 miles a year in Florida for work, and I'm fed up with Prius, and hybrid cars that ride in the fast lane below the speed limit. The faster the go, their economy per gallon reduces. Simple solution... Stay the F out of that fast lane!

Oh how I miss driving in the EU sometimes. Where VC21654 is a way of life.

Dan - your pic for the win! 3 wide happens up here too - it's shocking how many priuses there are in this state.
Also Omega- I had nothing to do with that Richmond San Rafael debacle this week - didn't even bring the car out because it was crazy no matter where you went - but we I did have some of my teams that needed to go back and forth and they were clicking 3.5 to 4 hours from Richmond to Corte Madera - kind of makes being stuck behind a prius seem like being 'stuck behind' Sebastian Vettel. haha
Researching the numbers, I remember several years ago there were 65,000 priuses registered in California. In 2013 there were 69,000 Priuses sold in California - 50,000 more in 2012. That alone is 120,000 additional priuses in California only counting new ones from 2012 & 2013. - Doing some math from the total priuses sold since 1999 (nearly 1,800,000) - and California accounting for 26% of total american sales of prius only - That means there are over 450,000 priuses here in California alone.
When you stack that up against the numbers of Porsche sales, it's pretty obvious why it seems you can't even pull out of your own driveway without a couple of priuses pulling out in front of you. YIKES.

A true Porsche nightmare.
I was making many a trip between Texas and Kansas over the last few months end encountered a lot of Left Lane Prius's but this one took the cake for me.
Someone had been holding traffic up for a good many miles and I was ashamed to discover that it was a Caymen with temp tags. I took this picture after about a dozen cars had passed it on the right. It stayed in that left lane for a great many more miles and there was a huge amount of traffic backed up behind them.
Going 60 in a 70.

Piling on the (deserved) Prius rant:
Wayne Smith & I were heading back from Sears Point the other day west on Lucas Valley Rd, when the stars aligned and the one blocking vehicle between ourselves and daylight, yielded to our 2 fat asses!
We had the uphill twisty section and the downhill undulating section all to ourselves UNTIL -- what I am sure was one of the same Prius' that were in front of Dan's aborted sweeper -- is picking his nose traveling well below the speed limit and braking at every turn in the road.
The Prius spots the 2 fat asses approaching quickly.
I was leading and I do not jump on slow moving vehicles: instead I make my presence known with headlights blazing.
The Prius pilot wakes up.
And you know what the fvcker does?!
He turns on his windshield washers!
Being the paranoid type, I'm sure that the Prius did this on purpose to overspray onto the a-hole (e.g., me) behind him, don't ya think?!
He does this a few times and I'm well back from him so the strategy ain't working.
In the end, he got the best of us because he never yielded (although I knew that he wouldn't!)
I suspect that I should have just pulled off and took 5, however in this county, Prius #2 would've been our radar soon enough...
I'd like to see Waze add spotting Prius' to the functionality...now that would be super useful!
Getting off the now...be safe and have fun...and steer clear of you know who...
