Default No more N/A Engines for the 911?

It looks like all engines will now be turbocharged for street versions to meet emissions standards.

The end of an era....

Thanks for the update. But it's old news. BMW did this several years ago. It's just the way things are. End of an era, best of the last etc...times change, get with it. All hail the 993 and the bag cell phone. LOL

I did have a 2008 535 and it was strong but very unreliable. The twin turbos solved the problem of low torque in the low to mid rpm range but the numerous and expensive repairs. The Porsche 6 cyl engines do not have the low tporque or reliability problems. I know the trend is toward smaller and smaller engines (and the 993 was a great car).

this is why I also want an NA V8 M3.

One of the turbos on my friends M5 went out. I don't know the exact cost, but it was somewhere around 3 grand.
