Default 911 Sales by Color

Does anyone have data on annual 911 sales by major color category (i.e. black/blue/brown/white/silver/grey/red)? Wondering how rare certain colors are over the years and interested in seeing the trends.

I would love to see this as well, especially the special colors (Cream White, Nordic Gold, etc)

Search here and other forums, you'll see similar questions asked. No definitive answers.

It seems to be difficult to find something as general as total numbers sold by model year, so my guess is that it will be pretty difficult to find a breakdown by color.

Based on empirical evidence my guess would be:

Silver / Gray / Black / White - 90%
All others - 10%

: )

The best looking color with the highest resale value has to be Guards Red.

PAG, in a lot of ways, guards their information as if it were a national secret. Being german, of course they keep all these records but I guess it is just easier to keep everything private than figuring out what should be released and what shouldn't.

I am not sure about white, but certainly the major colors ordered are black, red and silver. Really, all you need to do is look at eBay and do an unofficial count of the colors for sale. One rarely sees the others. When I located mine, and compared it to a silver one available too, my son said: "Now you're talking Dad!".

I agree that the ones you find for sale are typically silver, grey or black. When I bought my 997, I wanted a turbo cabriolet with a 6MT and PCCB that wasn't one of those colors. It wasn't easy to find!

Insert "IMS" into that question and the answer will be the same.

I'd say Silver is 85% of everything - god I hate that color.

My favorites are ***** Red (tan interior) and ***** Magnet Yellow (black interior).
