Front bumper or rear bumper - your title doesn't agree with your actual post.

In the last year or so, someone in Houston fit a wide body rear to a narrow body and he said it worked...but i never understood what happened to the extra 44mm of width. Sorry I can't remember his name - maybe he will respond.

Yes, Turbos, 4 and 4S, Targa, GTS, GT3 RS, and GT2 are all wide bodies.

Carrera, Carrera S and GT3 are narrow bodies.

it can be made to fit, it will look slightly 'off'. i have seen a gts (again wide body) rear bumper on a c2s... it can physically be made to fit but can/will look too wide from certain angles.

Wonder why somebody would do that. The GTS rear bumper best I can tell is identical to the standard .2 C2S bumper except for width. How fitting that to a narrow body comes together with any kind of visual benefit I'd like to see.

So, you think it that the rear bumper of a 997 tt on my C2 may not be a good idea?

I wouldn't do it...I would expect that "squeezing" the extra 44mm to fit would leave some sort of visible bulge.

I agree with jhbrennan, I would not put a W/B rear bumper cover on a N/B car.
