Just got my 2009 PDK 997.2 back after having the sport software upgrade. All I can say is phenomenal! It's a different car when you want it to be. Positively the most cost effective upgrade I've ever had done to any vehicle in my life.

As someone else on this forum has stated, Porsche should never have sold a PDK car without the sport/sport+ option. If anyone here is on the fence about doing this to their car, don't wait a minute longer, Do It! And many thanks for this board and those who responded to my questions regarding this installation. There's an incredible amount of misinformation regarding this upgrade, most P-car dealers have never heard of it, I had to keep referring them to Tequipment's website. Any many thanks to Ryan at Suncoast for giving me the straight story.

funny my c2s with manual trans has a sport function, i never use it unless i want to actually see how my car fares against others on the road

I have a manual C2S, and my car lives in Sport mode. As the OP said, it's phenomenal. I suspect most forum peers are Sport mode "on" fans. Would be fun to commence one of the usual informal polls.

I have a C2S with a 6MT and never use Sport mode because a) I prefer PASM to be in normal mode, and b) I like the linear throttle map.

The only thing it does that I need is to turn on PSE, but I have a separate button for that.

First thing I do after starting my '06 MN6 C2S is hit the Sport button... if I could set it to be the default mode at startup I would.

So, what is the "sport software upgrade?" I have a '12 GTS with Sport Chrono Plus. Is it relevant to that? Or is this the Sport Mode Retrofit kit for those without it to begin.
