I know I may get some violent reactions from the purists saying it's not a real sportclassic...well I just really love the look and wanted something different... and I'm pretty happy with it... 3 months of work...makes me smile everytime I see it.. moreso getting behind the wheel. =)

I think it looks great too! How much do you figure you spent on the visual mods?

thank you...

it was pretty difficut to do the ducktail from scratch and the bumpers to fit flush

the rims on ebay were less than 2k

the wrap was probably a little more than 2k

the kit was about 3k...

thank you...wanted the sportclassic look but didnt wanna go with the same stripes so i went with white...

the grey is pretty light so the white stripes allow the grey color to come out a little bit more.

next project is gonna be a 964 that I will backdate semi singer style...

I think it looks great. The only problem I can think of is the brake caliper color change. By changing the color to yellow you are misrepresenting them as pccb ceramic brakes. I totally support any custom changes to ones car as long as they aren't trying to be something it's not.

Just my 2 cents.

Very very nicely done. "fabricated bumpers" means you had them specially made for your project? If so, I would have taken the opportunity to convert to .2 lights too.

I've just completed (DIY) wrapping the interior trims, and I'm now seriously considering wrapping the whole exterior as well. How did the wrapping come up for the Ducktail? Can you post / pm me some close up pics and may be also showing where the "joins" are?

Thanks in advance and congrats again on the projects!

FYI

Yellow painted calipers were a factory option as far back as the 993. Long before PCCBs.

Option code was XRF for yellow calipers on the 993.

Just my 2 cents.

as mentioned by the lexvan..brake calipers in yellow were an option ...

my 1996 993 carrera has yellow calipers....

not trying to be ceramic at all..in fact I think ceramic brakes suck haha...

I just think the yellow color fits my new car color more than red.
