Default What's your "other" toy??? PICTURES!

Sorry if this thread has made the rounds, hey, I'm new here!!!!

BUT.....Since we are all "car guys"...right?

In addition to my '06 997 C2S, sometimes I tool around in this......1972 Corvette (last of the chrome bumper cars)....total restomod, 500hp/500tq 383 stroker, Hookers, Vintage Air, L88 (big block) hood, 2004R 4-speed auto O/D trans, full Bilstein comp suspension, Vette C5 leather seats, etc, etc, etc.....also, total strip down and repaint.....and yes, I did all the work!!!

The last picture is the 2012 Corvette Grand Sport that I sold to buy the 997!!

Hope you guys enjoy!!

Rob

I like these threads!

My 05 C55 AMG summer daily driver - secondary cats and resonator deleted, '63' paddle shifters, 18" OZ Super Leggera III wheels (stock suspension though). Added factory nav and mObridge Bluetooth and iPod functionality. Slightly older pic with the CLK front grille, I've since swapped back to the stock grille, and vinyl wrapped it and most of the chrome trim black:

My winter beater 02 A4 Avant, APR Stage 1+ (honestly, not very fast at all), Eibachs, Konis, OZ 17" Superleggeras. This car is my kijiji special - I've tried to buy every mod for it second hand:

Older toys:
01 S2000, Science of Speed supercharged, KW V3 coil overs, a bunch of AP2 (second generation car) parts, etc etc, lots of fun, sold it to fund my 911 purchase:

99 C43 AMG, with naturally aspirated '55' engine swap, C32/C55 big brakes, lowered on Vogtlands and Bilsteins, looks soooo much better than my C55, but can't compare the driving experience between the two:

And my old, old car, which I had in my student days, and which probably contributed to significantly lower grades as a result, my 88 Saab 900 Turbo SPG with plenty of mods. Built the engine myself, rewired the whole bloody car for SDS stand alone engine management, Wilwood big brakes, big turbo, lots of custom stuff:

The best "Toy" ever - 2002 BMW Z8 that I actually drive. 94,000 miles on the odometer. Bought in 2005 with 28,000 miles on the clock.

Some beautiful machines in this thread! Love to see the Z8's driven, most of them are garage queens!

2001 BMW M Coupe in Oxford Green, 1 of 6 sold in the US with this engine/color combo and less than 14 globally in this color with the S54 motor.

I love it, warts and all

2008 VW GTI with DSG - bought it new and I still believe the GTI/TDI are the best new cars you can buy for $30k.

1969 Porsche 912 which I just acquired from a driveway where it sat for 7 years! I've not even driven it yet, as its being worked on. I should get it at the end of this month.....

The best part about this one is that I don't have to pay for it. They pay me!

964 C2 on top is the other toy. The Tacoma is also a fun truck. Supercharged 6spd 4x4.

Great looking Z8 above!

Beat you by a few years...
1969 Vette. The only C3 with factory side pipes. Mine is a driver, has an old and tired 350/350. 4 speed with a 4.11. As for one odd feature, the M21 was cast on my birthday (different year, but same day and month....how odd).
