Pirelli PZero sidewall bubble
 

Well over the last few days, since my last detailing, my right front tire has decided to show its ugly side... this sidewall bubble just appeared. I've been searching online for any information about warranty versus non-warranty replacement. From what I've found so far, I need to simply replace the tire and then have the bad one inspected after it has been removed from the car.
Any other thoughts?
When I replace it, do I just go ahead and do both fronts?

Maybe this is glib, but you're in luck. Great reason to get rid of the PZero's and get Pilot Super Sports. This was the single biggest performance upgrade I've done...

Dump the P-Zero tires...horrible tire.

Michelin Super Sports or Yokohama AD08R

Only problem is I have almost brand new rear P-Zero's - would it even be an option to run mixed front v. rear?

It's usually not advised to mix sets for all kinds of technical reasons I'm no expert on. Worst case, replace the one tire with PZero, wear the crap out of the set, then get the PSSs. I had PZeros with only about 4K miles on them when the harsh ride, noise, and mediocre handling pushed me over the edge.

Sell remaining P-Zero on ebay or reenlist...priced right they will sell.

That is one big tire zit.
Replace it quickly. Your rim is expensive too.
If the tire blows, you will have added rim damage cost.
One new front Pzero, or four new somethings, michelin yokahama.
I would lean on the Michelin side.

Looks like the bubble is deflecting the tread. You must feel the bubble in the steering wheel vibration?

I hear you, I've only driven a few mile on it and there is definitely a mild vibration that is present in the steering wheel.

I have an extra snow tire handy for just such an occasion.

At least its on the outside and you can see it. Lucky-ish.
Click or call for your replacement now. It could take a few days to procure a replacement.

If I mis-speak someone please correct me, but that sort of bubble can be particularly dangerous. Sidewalls in high/ultra high performance tires are reinforced with a fabric or steel cord in the sidewall to increase cornering stability and steering response. It looks like this reinforcement has given way and, obviously, the tire is particularly compromised. The only thing keeping it from blowing out is the strength of the sidewall compound. If it's a new tire maybe you can argue it's a manufacturing defect if it just happened under normal driving conditions. For me, that is a tire I'd trust to drive equal to the distance from my house to the nearest tire shop (at about 20 mph and avoiding all bumps in the road) - well, actually, having Center Locks, I'd probably have to flat bed it to the dealer because I'd have to drive on the highway to get there..

It would certainly be worth going back to where you bought them. You say they are fairly new. I'd think they would replace this for free as a manufacturing defect. It's worth a shot in any case.

Michelin Super Sport...great all around tire.
Yokohama AD08R...sportier tire, greater grip slightly more wear...faster on track /Autocross than Michelin Super Sport

Michelin PS2 is ok...ran those too...Super Sport better....AD08R even better for grip.
