Why not do a wrap? You can do any color you want for a few $k and protect your paint at the same time. Then, change it again a few years down the road. Other than that, buy another car. You will depreciate the value of your car and spend several $k to have it painted properly.

I had arctic silver before it was wrapped....couldn't be happier! Feels like a new car with all the attention etc.

Never thought about the wrap! That sounds like a great idea!

Painting a car kills the resale. Even more if you change the colour. It would be a no sale to me rule. But it is your car you may do as you please.
Possibly you need some car therapy. Go clean, clay bar and wax it. It's not that bad.

If yo still need a change. I too, would suggest a wrap. For $2k you have the colour you want and it can be changed back.

I personally would sell the car and get a different one.

Driving a wrapped car, seems odd to me. It just doesn't feel right. Sort of too much Fast and Furious for me...even a whole car solid color wrap.

But i do get the point of wrapping. Whatever floats your boat I guess...

A lot of people stay away from painted cars b/c they think it's been in an accident, why else would you paint it, especially silver to grey, it doesn't make sense.

$2K for wrapped, where did you get that price from? Billy Bob's tint shop? lol. Mine would had been Riveria or Mexico blue if it was that cheap. I'm getting really bored with black.

When I shopped around its about $500-$1000 for the material depending on brand and color. I'd say the average is $2k labor but I've seen full wraps advertised from under $2k total (material included) to almost $10k.

I vote for the wrap!

wraps a good idea, how does a coloured wrap compare visually to paint of the same colour? Gotta be a difference I would think.

From a colour change perspective I've only seen satin wraps leveraging the original paint colour.
