All of my Porsche cars, except the first, a '73 914 2.0, were bought used. My '10 997.2 C4S 6 speed had 8K miles on it. I think these cars are kind of pricey so I choose to let someone else take the first major depreciation when it rolls of the floor at the dealership. I try to buy smart and sell smart to minimize the negative you typically see in this market.

Ain't is nice to get a 3 yr old car with $80k+ sticker for $38k? That is what i did in 2009. It is the only way to get those cars in my opinion as i have a lot of things to do and where to put those $40k of first years depreciation. But i am not a collector , i just drive it.

I guess I like to see the car to fall in love. I have had very good luck with used Porsches...not likely to order a custom one new. Risk of let down it too high

As for myself, I have had 3x 944s and 2x 911s. All bought used as I am not rich enough to throw away the first few years depreciation. Especially considering I usually don't keep cars for more than 3 years usually.

Considering the care and light use many of these cars get many of them are almost new even after several years.

Bought it used (CPO) in 2012. 2009 C2S with 19K on the clock at the time. And like wardrive my better half would never settle for a pre-owned vehicle, only new for her!!!

The depreciation on new breaks my heart so wouldn't do it again.
