My first 911 - 997 Targa 4S

9.5's on the rear?
Nice car. Targa's are a rarity around here. Of the wheels you've posted, I like the OZ.
Many here have gone with Forgestar (personally I like the F10 over the F14) or Avant Guarde's ruger line. Without blowing a budget both HRE and Vorsteiner have flow form models. Forged is the way to go for weight and strength but you're really going to pay for it. Check with the vendors, sponsors, and classifieds here and 6speed. Read up on offsets as the widebody Targa will have different fitments than a NB C2 or C2S.

A Targa is what I'm looking for too. It's a great car and yours looks really nice. What color interior does it have? Lot of nice wheels out there, as a matter of fact there is a thread going right now on the forum entitled "show me your non stock wheels on your 911" -something like that. Lot of cool wheels to look at. Might give you some ideas. Enjoy the driving experience! Lot of nice roads up there in your neck of the woods!
Hope you find a Targa soon. I was lucky to find such a good one at my local dealer (10 minutes from home) and to have a great salesman (also bike rider) take care of me.

I must be reading this wrong. I do not see any compatible mark under the Targa 4S column. It must be that all "4WD" models share the same compatibility on wheels (probably newb ignorance).
This would lead me to 57 & 51 except on the Sport Classic Wheels which is 55 & 50.
The Sport Edition wheels are 54 & 51. The OZ Racing wheels are 53 & 50. Not sure what a smaller offset means on wheel fitment or what effect it would have, but if I got this right the smaller offset means the wheel will be more "inside". Will this cause any rubbing?

There are 4 columns in the wheel chart. The C4, C4S, T4, and T4S all have the same wheel fitment. A smaller offset number will stick out further. The numbers are in millimeters. Typically people who want a more aggressive stance will run spacers in the 5-15mm range. If you wanted to put narrow body wheels on your Targa 4S, 15mm spacers on the rear would put them pretty close to stock fitment.

This is gonna be a great day!
Obviously you'll need to take the day off work, and then just start the long weekend...
Post pics of Day 1 when you can! Congrats
