4S question
Hello all,
I have just purchased a 2007 Carrera 4S. My last P-car was an 85- 911 Carrera which was lost in a garage fire a few years back. the bummer was I had my insurance turned off for the season and was a total loss. What a Dumb azz!
I just wanted to say hey and ask a few questions you guys may know.
1) The car came equipped with Navi but the disc in the DVD player is a copy of a Cayenne DVD. It does not work correctly and I'm not sure what to do now.
2) My iphone does not connect easily. Is Tooki any good? Does it allow sound from my iphone nav app to play through car speakers?
Thanks
Mully

Welcome, I can't help you on the DVD question but sounds like you need to buy a legit copy. On that, the nav sucks so you may want to consider a head unit swap out as you'll be halfway there when you buy a Tooki and Nav disk.

Is Tooki any good? It works as hands-free phone fine but does not allow streaming nor BT gateway to allow Google/Apple Maps. At least mine does not....

iSimple Tranzil Blu HF. It is an FM modulator that goes directly into the FM antenna jack in the back of the radio--takes an amateur like me 2 hours to install. It is not really OEM but the best $100 you will spend. You can answer and talk on the phone, test message, stream music, stream nav direction, audio books through Siri or like voice activation capabilties from a smart phone
There is a lengthy thread on this forum. go to the search bar above and search Tranzit Blu HF installation.

I have the tooki in my 07 4S and unfortunately it doesnt not work with the latest iphones (4S and 5) as i believe Apple has changed the bluetooth protocols via firmware updates. Im not sure about the other smartphones though..

Thanks for all the info , you guys are great! I am looking at a Panasonic DVD head unit, Din 2 size. These units look close to stock when installed.
