Wild colors on cars. Please opine?
I'm shopping for a daily driver/stablemate for my 997. What think you guys about the new wild colors offered by the 'other' German car maker? When I first drove up and saw the car I thought WTF.. no way, but it definitely grew on me. Wifey who is normally a drab color car person loved it and my daughter who likes cool colors on hot cars thought it was hideous (funny how she likes it though on the Mclaren) By the way the car drives great and is very well thought out. I'm on the edge...

I love it, as the Sakhir Orange is more of an off-red to my eyes in real life anyway, it's not really much different than getting red. Photos don't quite portray it the same, in my opinion.
The M3/4 tend to be the more sporty and youth appealing ones in their lineup, so I don't see the fuss. Look, if you love the car but want to blend in with other cars more, then go with Mineral Grey, Alpine White, Jet Black, etc. There's a very good chance that another M3 is my next car.

Maybe I'm biased, but I'd choose the gray car just to the right in photo #3. Just think, with two of those, you'd double your carrying capacity!
Colors are subjective, but I kinda like it. Certainly if someone showed up with an M4 in that color, I'd take it. Would I buy one? Dunno. Car and Driver just gave it a higher rating than the 911. But Top Gear reported it was nearly undrivable in the mountains of Spain and hellbent on killing them. Maybe that's an even bigger compliment?
Overall, I wouldn't be too shamed to find myself driving that around town. Good luck.

I like the color. Might think twice if it was my DD...especially working for a conservative company. My only suggestion would be powder coat the wheels black or gunmetal. Good luck either way you decide to go.

I like bright colors, especially on 911's, and even more so on older 911's. But I don't love this color - a little too orange, and it reminds me of something you'd see on a Subaru or Mitsubishi.

Like? That is an easy thing to say. Actually buy and pay for?
I'd lease a bright colour. I would be to concerned with resale.
Want a crazy colour. Get a wrap. Freak your kid out.

Honestly, if you changed out the wheels to something a bit larger and black, that combination would be very nice. It's the wheels, for some reason it makes an interesting color seem drab.
