I initially had them tacked up with the original spacing. After spending quite a bit of time standing back and looking at the spacing, and then playing with it back and forth, I decided to spread them a tad. To me at least, and at the time of doing it, they looked better this way since there were now only 3 letters.

The other thing I had to play with was the G which was slightly different than what had been on the car, if you notice by looking at the pictures.

I would do it the same way if I had to do it all over again. At some point, you just have to make the decision and go with it. Besides, I'm not so sure that the original GTS letters were installed properly? The T looks a bit off kilter.

Naah...I think you're fine beden. I would do what you did, space it out just a little.

It's ironic that you have changed the emblem to just GTS on the rear deck lid to simplify the look, but you have retained the Carrera GTS decals on the doors.

I purchased new black 928 GTS letters/numbers for the back of my 928 and since it's not a GTS, I have the "GTS" portion of the logo brand new on the original carrier sheet for proper spacing with the original adhesive if any of you GTS owners want new GTS letters. They came from Sun coast and you can see what they look like under Classic models then 93-95 928 GTS.

If anyone is interested, make me an offer and I can send pics tonight. Email is petza914@gmail.com or PM me.

Thanks.

Not really ironic as the side decal didn't really bother me. Side decals are something that are iconic Porsche as far as I look at them.

Here are my two together. Like the "GT3" emblem, I prefer the original spacing.

I did the same on my GTS, went for silver on silver. Just like the less busy look of the 3 letters...

Here's a photo of the new black GTS emblem I mentioned earlier today if anyone is interested in purchasing it. It's 4.5" wide and about 1 1/8" tall.

That looks great!

If anyone is interested in just the "GTS" emblem we now carry them in black with the release of the new 981 Boxster/Cayman GTS models. You can view the emblem HERE.

Perk10, thanks! My trick was to use blue 3M painters tape to create a line on the top and bottom of the old letters to match the new ones horizontally and vertically, then I eyeballed the centering and spacing of the new letters.

Great. Now you tell me after spending around twice that for the Carrera GTS emblem, even though I only needed the GTS.

The silver on silver looks great. Was it originally in black letters?
