To revive an old thread, I also get the purple dot pattern with the Ziza LEDs from the ECS kit, but it does work perfectly. I replaced the footwell LEDs with these blue ones, and it looks great. I'm not one for colored lights, but I think the look is outstanding, so I'll keep them. I'm going to try blue in the dome light too, but not the map lights.

Hey all, I used the Ziza kit from ECS as well. Not thrilled with the purple dot pattern but I can live with it. The map lights are not working at all however, Tried both polarities on both sides. Neither works. Factory ones come right on. Ideas?

I had a problem initially when installing the LED bulbs in the lower doors. The original incandescents worked, but the LED's would not.

The solution ended up being to disconnect the battery (of the car) for about 15 minutes or so, and then reconnect the battery after the LED's were installed. After doing that, I had no issues.

Thanks. Just tried that and nothing. Pulled the negative terminal and left it off for about 25min. Still nothing from either map light. What are the odds I got 2 bad bulbs, haha. I'll flip them around again just to be sure.

The map LED's that I used were the same LED's as the ones for doors. If yours are the same, you could try one in one of the door lights to see if it works there.

Hook up some test.leads to a spare 12v battery and see if they come on. That will tell you if it's the bulbs or the car not sending power to them anymore because they don't have enough resistance for the controller to know they're supposed to be on

One other thought (if you don't have another 12v battery) is to use a 9 volt battery to test the LED bulb. It has enough juice to power an LED.

You can also just hook the test leads to the battery that's in the car.

I ended up buying the USP Motorsports kit as well for the convenience and some assurance of quality. All lights worked as advertised, although the lack of diffusion causing blue/yellow streaking on interior surfaces is not quite the clean look I wanted.

2009 C2S 174K miles

My LED thread: https://rennlist.com/forums/997-foru...t-options.html

I found the lights I installed to be a bit too bright... something to consider should you do this swap. No biggie, but LEDs sure produce light.

Peace

Thanks, Bruce, I was just reading through it. Fighting with the dome lights in mine but others look good. Dome light is pretty bright (from ECS).
