Volcano Grey touch paint... I found it...
#61
the problem with volcano grey is it is in an interior paint. harder to match that using the cam on exterior paints. i had to go to 3 paint stores until i found one will to mix a small can. They made me pay for 3 test paint cans before they got the mix right. She was really nice and took an hour of her time and analyzed the paint and knew exactly what material/type of paint to mix. i'm just glad i've been able to help so many guys through the years to get something so many thought was impossible.

Sid, I know it's been a crazy long time since your original post regarding interior color volcano grey. I am restoring my 2007 997 and in need of the same. Do you (or anyone else) have any suggestions on how to obtain? Please advise. Thanks.

I actually found a bottle in my desk cleaning up the other day. With all this crazy corona stuff i'm not sure if the paint place would even allow me to buy since i don't have an account there. If you need $75 shipped via usps.
Thanks,
Sid

I can't say what I used is good for touch up but I have repainted my window spear (window switch trim), and my center stack trim (around the A/C buttons etc.) with SEM trim paint and it's perfect for what I needed to do. Amazon has it in a rattle can. Love the stuff. I've used it also on my chrono pod. And it has never chipped off but I use about 12 coats when I do it. So you could try spraying some of that paint into a bowl and using a small brush and see how it looks but it won't be great since the crap that's on the car from the factory is that rubberized crap

You can get a perfect color match by going to Automotive paint store like "Wesco Automotive" (Here in Seattle) and having them take computer reading of your painted fender/roof/etc.
They can mix as small as 1/2 pints and also make spray cans.

do NOT use a brush.
someone actually attempted it here on RL. it looked.... exactly what you expect it to look like.

Greetings everyone. Helpful thread. Is the "Volcano Grey" described here the same color as the face plates for the PCM and HVAC controls in center stack? Previous owner botched reinstallation of PCM before sale and licked the top left edge of HVAC. Looking to touch up and hide.
Also looking for silver in door pulls, left/driver side pull is blemished.
