New Tires - Bridgestone Potenza S-04
I just swapped out my Hankook Ventus v12s for the Bridgestone S-04s. The Hanooks were really great tires and a great value to boot. The k110 model that I had used is now a new variant. The Bridgestones got great reviews so I decided to give them a try. I had not realized how stiff my 4 year old Hankooks had gotten. Now they were down to the wear bars, but I was never unsatisfied with their performance or comfort. But the new tires do feel pretty nice. I'll give a more legit review once I get some miles on them and can really tell how the perform. the S04s were on special at T-R so I took the opportunity to try something new. So far, no complaints. But I have less than 30 miles on them. They are wider and fill the rim better than the Hankooks of the same size, and I like that they have a small lip to protect the rim a bit as well.

so far so good. Little to no flat spotting over night.(which the Hankook's were prone to do) Good grip. Super quiet and responsive. They balanced out perfectly. No complaints here. I hope they last as long as the Hankooks did, but from my limited time so far, I'm impressed.

FYI, I had a lot of experience with the S04s and K110s. Bridgestone has always been a great tire but not so great with wear. The ride, handling should be better than the K110 but the Hankook's will easily out wear the S04s. I usually got about 30 to 40% more life out of Hankooks.

If I wasn't tracking, and it was my daily drive, I'd 100% go for S04 (although it ranks 2nd in that front behind MPSS), for tracking maybe RE11 or MPSS.

I got about 10k miles on the hankook rears. It is tough to tell exactly because I switch to another set of wheels for the winter months. I got a few years out of the hankooks though. The fronts had some life left in them but I did not want to mismatch the tires. I was down past the wear bars on the inside edges of the rear tires when I changed the set out.
