Question 19" 997.1 GT3 Rep's

I've been looking for a U.S. vendor that sells the 19x8.5/19x11 997.1 GT3 replica wheels.

http://www.wspitaly.com/Wsp-Italy/Po...air-Black.html

Any ideas?

STAY AWAY...from replica wheels. Seems to many of them crack especially at the track. If you want the OEM look of a GT3 wheels...get real Porsche OEM GT3 wheels...however they are heavy suckers.

The only aftermarket wheels I trust are from well known, used by many people like...in no certain order....OZ, CCW, BBS, Forgeline, HRE, Formula43, Fiske

Are those OZs decent? I've been looking at them to use on track.

I and many at the track use the HLT and Challenge series for our track wheels. I've never had an issue other than running out too far and T13 track out at Sebring and hitting a huge pot hole at the end of the rumble strips and bending a wheel. The wheel didn't crash just bent....which is safer...awesome..I was thankful.

I've run CCW, never an issue. Lots of friends run Forgeline....great looking wheels...some of my favorites and very strong for the track. Lots of Rolex series race teams run the same Forgeline wheels too.

I've run OZs in the past and never had issues but figured I'd ask. I'd really like a set of CCWs, if they ever get around to a centerlock variant. I posted in another thread but didn't get a response, are there any 18s that will fit a set 380mm PCCB or Stoptech Trophies? My old Volk TE37s cleared, but just barely. I'm not willing to pony up for Mg TE37s, so unfortunately that won't work out.

Then purchase OEM Porsche factory wheels....again...do what you want but please know these knock off Porsche factory look wheels are not what you need...safety and performance will be compromised. I've seen this first hand and over the years seen issue posted on forums.

I would too, not a fan of replica's, see if you can find any in the classifieds, that is usually a good option. A lot of people like to go for aftermarket light forged wheels and the OEM sells for next to nothing.

Wink

Trust me OEM is my always first choice, but its not like these wheels are readily availble. When a set comes up for sale its usually gone pretty quick.

I missed out on a set in the classified section just the other day.

I'm bidding on a set on ebay right now, hope to get them.

Well it looks like the ebay wheels are getting out of hand fast.

Bidding is up over $2k and still has 19hrs left, I should have bought creaminz wheels he sold them pretty cheap. I would rather have a rough set so I can powdercoat them to my liking.

There was a set for $1200 on 6speed they needed refinishing which is what I want, but they went before I could talk to the member.
