Also, hard to tell for sure from the photo, and maybe it's an older one, but looks like it's time for some new rear tires (the outside of Driver's Side Rear looks bald) and maybe an alignment to remove some rear toe.

Was just scratching my head over that picture. That's the exact opposite wear pattern of what's the norm. Almost looks like the tire has been rotated.

Yup, usually people lower their cars with a set of coilovers and then don't change the rest of the suspension components (rear dog bones & toe steer kits) and can't achieve the proper alignment spec, badly wearing the inside edge of the tire, but this one is worn on the outside. Like you say, maybe it was rotated, but it would have to have been a dismount and remount due to the staggered setup of these cars. With wear to that level, I wouldn't think that's worth the expense to dismount, remount, and rebalance. Maybe Poparelly can shed some light for us.

Can't tell what tires those are ( P-Zeros ?). That's a $400 tire so if an indy can turn it over for $40 per side it could be tempting for some, even if the directional arrow is pointing the wrong way after it's done.

That pic is a little old. I have a few thousand miles on my PSS that I put on a little over a year ago. I'll take a pic and post it. I'd like to get your opinion on the current wear pattern. I didn't think my car had any suspension modifications (bought pre-owned), but it would make sense if if had some TechArt springs since it came with so much other TA stuff. Does the ride height look lower than normal for a 4S cab with PASM?

Also, I had an alignment done when the new tires went on.

Yup, some places will mount and dismount two tires for $40. Of course, some will charge more/less. As for the directional tires, as you know they will still be rotating the correct way w/ a dismount/mount. I use to do this on my lowered 335 to maximize wear on my rear tires. Once I could notice a difference in tire wear, I'd have them "cross rotated". LR -> RR, RR-> LR due to the inner tire wear. It did help prolong tire wear for me. At a cost of 20 bucks, I didn't care about the cost....but I just wasn't as comfortable w/ someone dismounting and mounting tires that often on my wheels. Just the risk of a mistake and getting damage.

On the 997, I'm doing the dog bones and toe links so I won't be doing that on this car.

You're right. Just looked at my PSS's and it only says "outside" on the sidewall so you could rotate them for even baldness all around before replacing. Could have sworn I had a set of tires that not only had "Outside" marked but also a directional arrow. Or maybe it was only a directional arrow on one sidewall indicating it was only intended to be mounted on one side of the car and not the other.

The PetroCanada shots are unexpectedly beautiful... I mean it's just a gas station but in 20 years we'll all be looking at this as a perfect augenblick of a moment in time.
