Question Help! Ventilated Seats question

So I did a search on here and a couple of other forums and still can't find the answer. Also tried a google image search with no luck.

Are the ventilated seats in the 997.2 similar to the 991 in that there's a big bulge in the back of the seat that decreases leg room?

I'm 6'2" and my kid barely fit behind me in a 997 coupe...but she did indeed fit. I tried a 991 coupe however, and her legs didn't fit at all because of that bulge.

So....does the 997.2 have the same thing? Could someone post pictures of the back of their ventilated seat.

Thanks for your help!

RATS. Do all of the 997.2's have the bulge in it regardless of whether they have the option or not?

Are there any people in the Baltimore metro area/southern PA or DC/NOVA area that have a 997.2 with ventilated seats that might be able to help me out?? I'm EXTREMELY close to buying a porsche across the country but don't know if my daughter would fit in a back seat of a car with ventilated seats. I just need to put her carseat in the back to see if she'd fit or not. Don't need to drive the car.

Anyone available to help in the area? I would be very appreciative! Maybe for a 6 pack of beer?

Pretty sure the bulge is only there with ventilated seats.

All three of my boys (10, 8, 6) can sit comfortably in the back of mine. Note, I opted to not use a booster seat in the back. The seat belts fit well enough for me.

The 991 actually has more rear seat leg room than the 997.2 with or without ventilated seats. This is due to the longer body on the 991.

Sort of true. I put my carseat in the back of the 991 and i actually had less room. The reason being that regardless of whether you order the ventilated seats option or not, the 991 has a bulge in the back to accomodate it. The 997 only has it if the option is ordered.

I couldn't fit my daughter in a 991 but could in a 997.

I'm just hoping someone in the MD/DC/VA/PA/WV area sees this and can maybe help me out soon. I'm ready to buy the car and have everything lined up but that ventilated seat thing threw a wrench in my plan.

Thats the fans for the ventilated seats - all of them with ventilated seats have that.

Can you not put the car seat behind the passengers seat?
Basing a car purchase (long term state) on the size of a child (short term state) seems like a bad trade in my book. The kid will grow into a sit-upright seat quickly, then into no seat, and eventually into "to big to fit in those back 'seats' like the rest of the adult population.

The back seats for the cars are mostly storage other than if you have 5-16 year olds.
